Anderson Island Elementary Leadership

A Message from Principal Miller
Dear Eagle Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year at Anderson Island Elementary! As I begin my third year as your principal, I’m filled with pride for the incredible progress our Eagles have made together. Over the past two years, we’ve strengthened our community connections, deepened our love for learning, and continued to build a school where every student feels valued, supported, and inspired to do their best.
One of the things that makes Anderson Island Elementary so special is the powerful bond between our school, our families, and our wider island community. This partnership will continue to be the heart of our success, and we’ll keep working hard to make it even better this year. Our outdoor classroom remains a defining part of who we are—giving our convocation (a group of Eagles) a place to explore, discover, and connect with nature while developing skills that last a lifetime.
This year, our focus will continue to be on strengthening the environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We will continue to celebrate each student’s unique strengths, challenge them to grow, and provide learning experiences that spark curiosity and creativity.
Communication and attendance will remain key to our success. I encourage you to reach out, ask questions, share ideas, volunteer your time, and partner with us in celebrating the milestones and achievements—big and small—that make up the fabric of our school year.
It has been a great two years serving as the principal of Anderson Island Elementary, working alongside such a dedicated staff, supportive families, and amazing students. I’m excited for year three and all the opportunities it holds for our Eagles to soar to new heights.
Have a wonderful year.
Mike Miller
